Dicycin during pregnancy

Dicinon during pregnancy - instructions for use, reviews

Dicycin is used both for preventive and therapeutic purposes in many fields of medicine: dentistry, surgery, urology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, gynecology, obstetrics and others. During pregnancy, any of the many possible situations that require a blood stop can occur. But most often in this period, Dicinon resorted to the threat of miscarriage, when a woman is experiencing vaginal bleeding.

You can find information that Dicinon during pregnancy is prescribed only in the case of scarlet bleeding. But doctors look at the testimony and the specific situation, and not on the color of the discharge. And if the intended use of the drug exceeds the possible risk, then prescribe the medicine. Therefore, very often future mothers prescribed Ditsinon with "mazna", not waiting for obvious bleeding. And if necessary, Dicycin treatment is possible from the first trimester.

By the way, about the intended use. That's exactly what is written in the instructions to the drug. Because no clinical studies on the influence of Dicinon on the developing fetus have been conducted. So do not prescribe yourself for yourself: for treatment with this drug during pregnancy, you can resort only to strict doctor's testimony and under his control.

I want to remind you that if you are threatened with an abruption of the chorion or placenta, then in addition to Dicinone you will certainly be prescribed comforting and antispasmodics, as well as strict bed rest and complete rest. And if you want to keep the baby, you have to fulfill all these appointments.

It should be said that Dicinone is available as a solution for injections and in the form of tablets. Pregnant women are prescribed mainly tablets that must be taken during or after meals: as a rule, 1 tablet 3 times a day for at least 3 days. The effect of the drug occurs after 1-3 hours (with intravenous administration - after 15 minutes).

Be prepared for side effects:

  • From the side of the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, migraine, face hyperemia, paresthesia of the lower extremities.
  • Dermatological reactions: redness of the facial skin, transient skin reactions.
  • On the part of the digestive system: nausea, heartburn, pain in the epigastric region.
  • From the cardiovascular system: a drop in blood pressure, redness of the skin.

Adverse reactions often develop in patients who do not follow a healthy lifestyle, and also violate the prescribed dosage. After drug withdrawal, they usually disappear.

Just in case, read and contraindications to treatment with Dicycin:
