Briefly about the development of dysbacteriosis
The vagina, like the stomach, has a mucous internal environment. It means, that in it lives many different kinds of bacteria, including conditionally pathogenic ones. There must be a certain amount on the mucous membrane. But when it decreases, the balance of different kinds of bacteria is disturbed, bacterial vaginosis arises, which gynecologists also call the dysbacteriosis of the vagina. This condition worsens the structure of its walls. In the presence of this pathology, a woman can easily get pregnant without planning it. That's why gynecologists always emphasize that the problem of dysbiosis should not be allowed to drift, to plan children and prepare the body in advance for the bearing of the baby.
What threatens the dysbacteriosis of the vagina to the fetus
When the baby is in the uterus, do not worry about his condition. In utero the fetus is protected, it is surrounded by a sterile environment. The danger exists then, When the vaginal dysbacteriosis persists at the time of delivery. The child, passing through the birth canal, also runs the risk of having a dysbacteriosis. If the flora of the vagina is normal, the child at birth receives the bacterium of Dederlein. It is populated in its intestines, forms the microflora of the stomach. The first population of bacteria in the stomach of a newborn is called transient dysbiosis. This happens with all the babies either during childbirth, or in the first days after them. Further, with normal breastfeeding, the child's flora independently returns to normal. When the future mother has a dysbacteriosis of the vagina, it is most likely that the child will have an imbalance, because in his organism the bacteria that he encounters are passing through the birth canal. If there are too many pathogenic microorganisms in the intestines of the crumbs, the bifidobacteria can not displace them. It means, that the baby from the first days of his life will have a dysbacteriosis of the stomach.
Vaginal dysbiosis is not so dangerous for babies born with caesarean section. Although, without getting the primary bacteria, they can also suffer from problems with the flora of the stomach.
That is, dysbiosis in a future mother in any case should be treated.
How is bacterial vaginosis manifested, its causes
Its symptoms in pregnant women can be as follows:
- The abundance of secretions, it is possible with an unpleasant smell.
- Itching in the vagina, discomfort.
- Detection of yeast fungus, Gardnerella when taking a smear.
All these symptoms can manifest themselves together and separately.
What triggers the emergence of vaginal dysbiosis? This can be stress, which always negatively affects the bearing of the child; hormonal disorders, in particular, increased release of progesterone; the change in the climatic zone, in general, the warmer climate; inflammatory processes in the genital organs. Also to the pathology leads to hypothermia and decreased immunity. If a woman takes antibiotics, even a new generation, then this can provoke a problem.
Treatment of vaginal dysbacteriosis in pregnancy
It is unacceptable to do it yourself. When these symptoms occur, a woman should consult a gynecologist, undergo a diagnosis of sexual infections, sow bacteria, and give smears.
Next, the doctor will write out the drugs, destroying fungi and superfluous bacteria. Then you need to restore the microflora of the vagina. For this, today there are many drugs with live bacteria in the composition.
After the appearance of crumbs, the doctor will prescribe funds for the restoration of the immune system, and in a month he will offer to take repeated tests to determine how much the flora of the vagina has recovered.
It is worth noting that with vaginal dysbiosis treatment must be passed to both partners. Always consult a doctor and do not self-medicate during pregnancy.
