Signs of undeveloped pregnancy

The first signs of undeveloped pregnancy in the early stages

A non-developing pregnancy (frozen pregnancy) is a pregnancy in which an embryo or fetus spontaneously ceases to develop, being in the womb of a woman. Most often the misfortune occurs in the early stages of pregnancy (in the first trimester). But for a number of reasons, this may happen in the second, and even in the third trimester.

According to statistics, about 15% of pregnancies end prematurely precisely for this reason. Especially women with infectious diseases (herpes, toxoplasmosis, chlamydia, cytomegalovirus and others) who smoke, abuse alcohol or take drugs, are very nervous or take antidepressants, have had an abortion in the past, as well as women over the age of 40, with hormonal disorders and others. But in general, with an undeveloped pregnancy, any woman can face - it is impossible to foresee this.

Doctors put a favorable outlook for the future for women who have faded. But the problem often lies in the fact that for a long time the pregnant woman does not even suspect about what happened. Signs of undeveloped pregnancy can manifest only after 5-8 days after fading, and even then not always.

If a woman regularly visits a gynecologist, he will certainly establish a discrepancy between the size of the uterus and the period of pregnancy: in this case the uterus will be much less than the norm. When tracking the level of hCG, the concentration of the hormone of the chorionic gonadotropin will immediately become noticeable. During the passage of ultrasoundthe fading of the fetus will cause the absence of palpitations and motor activity. But if the tragedy happened at a time when planned ultrasound was not planned, and the next visit to the doctor is planned only after 2-3 weeks, then only her own sensations can help her identify an undeveloped pregnancy. That's why a pregnant woman should always listen to her body and, at the slightest alarming symptoms, contact a gynecologist.

At the earliest possible dates, a woman should be alerted to the sudden disappearance of previously active signs of pregnancy. If the chest is swollen and aching, if there is drowsiness, fatigue, nausea, and then everything suddenly stopped or disappeared, then with a high degree of probability it can be judged that something went wrong.

Spotting spotting is considered a bad sign throughout the pregnancy, which, among other things, may indicate the arrest of embryo development. The likelihood of an unfavorable outcome increases with an increase in body temperature to 38 degrees or higher, the appearance of chills, pulling pains in the lower abdomen and in the waist.

If the fetus has frozen at a time when a rather large belly has already been seen, then it may slightly decrease in size. At later dates, fading will be indicated by the absence of perturbations for an extended period of time.

Whenever there is a misfortune, a woman can feel very ill without apparent, for her reasons, reasons.

The described signs of an undeveloped pregnancy can be manifested individually or in combination, on several at once, or completely absent - in each individual case, everything happens in different ways.

We sincerely hope that this information will remain forever theoretical and unclaimed for you. But if God forbid it happened otherwise, do not worry: 80-90% of women successfully carry the next pregnancy. And the chances of success are increased if the pregnancy is planned in advance, to undergo the necessary examinations and properly prepare for motherhood (and fatherhood, too).
