All of us are afraid of the unknown. We are afraid of what we do not know. And the more we fear, the stronger becomes our fear, which works against ourselves, for very often at the most crucial moments it directly binds us from within, and in fact during childbirth a woman should try to open up as much as possible. That's why, succumbing to fear, you subconsciously complicate the birth of yourselves. And if you believe the results of many studies, it is fear that is the main cause of severe pain during childbirth.
How is this explained? It's very simple: fear triggers the release of a large amount of the adrenaline hormone, which interferes with the production of the hormone oxytocin, which is responsible for contractions of the uterus, and for the whole process of childbirth as a whole.
The important role of the birth pain
However strange the statement may sound, the birth pain plays a very important physiological role, since the answer to it is the production of the hormone oxytocin responsible for:
- activation of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems;
- improvement of oxygen supply of tissues;
- all generic activities in general.
