Wilprafen is prescribed for various bacterial infections - sinusitis, bronchitis, anthrax, and also for sexual infections - syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. For the treatment of precisely urogenital infections, doctors often prescribe Vilprafen to pregnant women. However, some researchers are not sure that this drug can be used without harm to the child.

Domestic medicine, in general, does not prohibit the appointment of Vilprafen during pregnancy. But its use is welcome only if the benefit is much greater than the possible harm done to the baby. Experts recommend using alternative therapy. So some people tend to believe that chlamydia infection can be treated with azithromycin.

Most often Wilprafen appoint gynecologists to pregnant women with the detection of ureaplasma. This disease poses a serious threat to the mother and baby.

Before you start taking the drug, you should read the instructions to it, learn all the side effects and contraindications. Categorically forbidden to use Vilprrafen for violations in the activity of the kidneys or if there is a hypersensitivity to the drug.

As for the side effects, if there is heartburn, nausea, vomiting, violation of the liver robot, abdominal pain, pregnant women should immediately stop taking Vilprrafen. Side effects can be very unpleasant - it's a rash on the body, hearing loss, general malaise and even fever.

With chlamydial infection, treatment with Vilprafen lasts for 10-14 days. Take 0, 5 g 3 times a day. Tablets are taken between meals and washed down with water.

Wilprafen can be prescribed already in the first trimester of pregnancy, from about the 10th week. However, some experts insist that treatment of any infection with Wilprafen can be started only from 20-22 weeks, when the fetus has already been formed and the drug will not cause the baby significant harm.

Together with Vilprafen, the doctor also prescribes vitamins to strengthen the future mother's body.

Treat the disease Wilprafen or not - it's every pregnant woman. But it is best to check for all kinds of infections before conception of the child, and to approach this matter with all seriousness.
